In one day you will be able to embark on a tour of the Ballestas Islands, often compared to the Galapagos Islands, to see colonies of sea lions and seals & explore the Huacachina desert in a dune buggy and go sandboarding.

Itinerary: Paracas and Huacachina Tour

Meeting point 
5am en Miraflores near Larcomar.  After your pick-up, we will pick-up other groups in differents places before start our way to an exceptional day !

On the way, we will stop on a local artisanal bakery . Grab some food and drink

Islas Ballestas en Paracas – Boat Tour
Reaching to Paracas, we go to El Chaco port, located in the Bay of Paracas. From this place you will go to Paracas Island in moderns’ boats where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Islands, and you will appreciate the amazing environment and the marine wildlife as Sea lions, Humboldt penguins, black cormorants called guanay, and different types of marine birds. The Sea lions will probably be swimming around the boat and you could see penguins in the sea. Thousands of marine birds which you will see flying between islands and their nest on the rocks

Lunch 
Then, it’s time to eat. We will go to the winerie called “NIETO”. The restaurant will be inside the winerie. You can also walk around and find another place to eat or bring your own food.

Pisco Tasting
After our lunch, it’s free tasting time.  Here you can learn about the steps to make the Peruvian Pisco, here you will be guiding by an expert person from the store. Then the participants will be invited to taste the different types of Pisco produced localy.

Oasis of Huacachina
Arrive to Ica (Huacachina). In this beautiful oasis, you can enjoy of the quiet place and walking around the lake and take unforgettable pictures.

Extreme Acticities – Buggy & Sandboard
Get your adrenaline flowing on a small-group dune buggy and sandboarding tour in Huacachina. The excursion begins with a thrilling 4WD ride through the dunes. With an experienced driver behind the vehicle’s wheel, you’re free to let go and embrace the adventure. At the top of the dunes, you can give sandboarding a try.

Time to start our way back.
We will have a last stop on the road at “Racimo de Uva”. There we can get some snacks, or find some souvenirs gifts (wine, pisco, peruvian drinks, traditional cookies)

Return time at Lima around 10:30pm approximately (Larcomar)

• Return to Lima:
  Complete tour, with return to Lima the same evening
• Without returning to Lima:
  This option is for customers who do not need to return to Lima with us and wish to stay in Huacacahina for the night. It is the perfectly economical option if you decide to continue your journey to other cities such as Arequipa or Cusco, or if you wish to stay one or more nights there. In this case, our service will end after the activities in Huacachina: after the buggy tour, and you can spend the night in Huacachina (not included).

Specific Policies

• If automatic reservation is no longer available on our website, please contact us to check if it is still possible to make a last minute reservation (+51 983 187 354).
• It sometimes happens that the sea is too rough to visit the Ballestas Islands by boat. If a weather report announcing a storm, we may cancel the boat tour around the Ballestas Islands for security reasons. In this case a financial reimbursement will be refunded to you (S/. 40)
• Excursion in buggy and sandboard have a duration of 45mn.
• The buggy is only driven by the professional driver .
• For a sandboarding standing position, a professional boards are available for rent for an extra fee in Huacachina
• For this tour, tour guides do not necessarily speak a Perfect English. Take the opportunity to develop your Spanish!
• Baby under 1 year old cannot participate in activities (The buggy is too dangerous for babies).
