Itinerary: Combayo & Sangal Canyon Tour
Our journey begins at 8:30 AM, departing from the city of Cajamarca, and heading towards the former Hacienda de Combayo.
Located to the east of Cajamarca at an altitude of 3,600 meters above sea level, we’ll start our descent from this point. After approximately one hour of travel, we’ll arrive at the captivating Ventanillas de Combayo, with its remarkable collection of over a thousand niches carved into the rock.
Following our exploration of these intriguing structures, we will continue our descent, eventually arriving at the Chonta River, witnessing its unique hydrographic formation and the small canyon it shapes in the Tres Tingos or Shinshilpampa area.
Our adventure concludes with a visit to the stunning Cañón de Sangal, and we’ll then head back to the city of Cajamarca.
